Post-surgery care instructions for forehead augmentation

1. Take prescribed medication and strictly follow the doctor’s orders, which will generally include 10 days of antibiotics and 7 days of anti-inflammatory and pain relievers.
2. During the first 3 days, use a cold compress around the eyebrows and temples to reduce congestion and swelling.
3. From the 3rd day until the sutures are removed, apply warm compresses to reduce swelling and bruising.
4. Keep an elastic bandage on your forehead at all times for the first 3 days. After that, you can wrap it when you go to bed.
5. Use a cotton pad moistened with water to clean your face and refrain from wearing makeup for 7 days after surgery.
6. Thoroughly clean the wound at least once a day with saline (wet dressing).
7. Sleep with your head elevated using a pillow and use a neck pillow at a 30-degree angle for the first 7 days to minimize forehead swelling.
8. Refrain from consuming fermented foods, smoking, and drinking alcohol for at least 1 month after surgery.
9. After removing the stitches, there may be swelling. You can alleviate this by pressing to release any buildup of fluid, or through needle aspiration.
10. Strictly apply and take hair follicle stimulating medicine as prescribed by the doctor in case of hair loss. This medication may need to be taken for about 3 months for complete hair regrowth.
